"Hi Guys,
Just wanted to say how pleased I was with the work that you did for my Long island home inspection. From beginning to end the inspectors were professional, courteous and above all, informative. The inspection report was easy to read and the supplemental materials are great. I especially liked that I was able to have the termite inspection completed at the time of the initial inspection. Thanks again for a job well done. I won't hesitate to recommend you in the future to friends and family."

" I would say the alphabet P in your Company Name 'Precision' stands for Prudent, Punctual, Professional & Polite Service." thanks Gita "This company is so impressive. The two inspectors go through the house together. They explain what they sre doing as they go through the inspection and answered our questions as well. These people were recommended by three different people who don't know each other. That by itself is a great testimonial to how good of a job this company does. Completely satisfied and these are the people to hire to get a comprehensive home inspection." - Oct 18, 2011, Google

They explained everything to us and when we received the report is was full of diagrammed pictures and tons of information. We also received two books that were very useful in understanding the systems within a house and the maintenance that they require. They were comparable in price to other inspectors but give you so much more." - Sept 30 2011, Google
"If you want a thorough inspection done by two experienced and knowledgeable inspectors than this is the company to use. If I was going to invest 100's of thousands of dollars in a property I wanted nothing but the best inspection I could find. This company was recommended to me by my lawyer as the best inspection company around. They certainly were everything my lawyer said. They were thorough, knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We could not have asked for more." - Aug 29, 2011, Google "This company appears to be the only company that sends 2 inspectors. After the inspection was completed I can really see why two inspectors do a much better job than one inspector. They inspected every item in the house big and small. The report they provided was complete with diagrammed pictures and repair/replacement costs. We were totally blown away by this company and they were worth every penny and more." - Aug 26, 2011, Google

RadonWhat is Radon? Radon comes from the natural breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water. The release of this radioactive gas enters the air you breathe, causing a potential health risk to you and your family. Radon gas can be found in just about anywhere. It can get into any type of building -- homes, offices, and schools -- and build up to high levels. Read NY Times article on the concentration of Radon in the Long Island area. What you should know about Radon Radon is a cancer causing radioactive gas. You cannot see radon and you cannot smell it or taste it, but it may be a problem in your home. This is because when you breathe air-containing radon, you increase your risk of getting lung cancer. In fact, the Surgeon General has warned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer. You should test for radon. Testing is the only way to find out about your home's radon level. The EPA and the Surgeon General recommend testing of all homes below the third floor for radon. You can fix a radon problem. If you find that you have high radon levels, there are ways to fix a radon problem. Even very high levels can be reduced to acceptable levels. If you are buying a home. EPA recommends that you obtain the radon level in the home you are considering buying. An EPA publication "The Home Buyer's and Seller's Guide" is available through most State Health Departments or Regional EPA offices listed in your local phone book. EPA also recommends that you use a certified or state licensed radon tester to perform the test. If elevated levels are found it is recommended that these levels be reduced. In most cases, a professional can accomplish this at reasonable cost or homeowner installed mitigation system that adheres to the EPA's approved methods for reduction of radon in a residential structure. What are the Risk Factors? The EPA, Surgeon General and The Center for Disease Control, have all agreed that continued exposure to Radon gas can cause lung cancer. In fact, their position on the matter is that all homes should be tested for radon gas exposure, and all homes testing over 4 pCi/L should be fixed. How Does Radon Enter the Home? Typically the air pressure inside your home is lower than the pressure in the soil around your home's foundation. Due to this difference, your house acts like a vacuum, drawing radon gas in through foundation cracks and other openings of your home. Radon may also be present in well water and can be released into the air in your home when water is used for showering and other household uses. Potential Entry Points:

"I was intrigued and impressed by the model of two inspectors, and appreciated their quick reply and ease of scheduling. We've used Precision twice now, for two separate homes, and could not be more satisfied. They have a distinct focus on educating the owner about the house they are purchasing. And not just about the house as it is, but forward-looking maintenance, too. They were thorough, spent time answering our questions, and provided a very clear, easy to read report with many photographs. We could not offer a stronger endorsement of using them for a Long Island Home Inspection." -- Todd P., Ph.D., Port Jefferson, NY" "Thank you so much Precision Home Inspection for your thorough and professional Long Island home inspection. You took the time to walk me through the whole home explaining everything every step of the way and made me confident in my purchase going into closing. I thank you for also being available and flexible for my final walk through. I will recommend your service to anyone purchasing a home."- D. Pickett "After already having one home inspection previously by another individual/business, these guys blew him away in their thoroughness, likeability, and knowledge. On top of that, they have the educational degrees and contractor backgrounds to really know how things should be done. Lastly, they provided me with alternatives and ways to fix problems, along with anticipated costs and needs. I thank them so much and am excited to move into our new home soon." ---Dan C. Wantagh, NY "We shopped around quite a bit to find the best inspection company we could find. We interviewed at least half a dozen companies and this company by far seemed to be the best. This was the only company that sent two inspectors and also listed their qualifications on their website. We also were able to look at a recent inspection report they had done. When the two inspectors came we could right away tell we made the right choice. They explained everything to us including the good and the bad. They answered all our questions thoroughly. We received the report the following morning complete with pictures and easy to understand notes and comments. We also received two great books that also helped us understand what is involved with all the systems within a home and the maintenance they require. We could not have been happier with this company and highly recommend them to anyone."Shannah, November 9,2011, Google
"My realtor recommended this company. She said she had never worked with this company before but had heard some real good reviews from other realtors who saw them do an inspection. They were excellent. Answered all our questions, gave us approximate repair costs which we needed because the house was a short sale. They found some many items that we would have never thought to check. They are real professionals. We were very happy with their service before and after the inspection."

"It was such a pleasure to deal with Hank and Lee the owners of this company. You can tell that they are working for you and not trying to please the real estate agent. When they both came to do the inspection they went slowly and explained everything to us as we went along. They took over 3 hours to do the inspection. When I received the report with all the pictures it made the report so much easier to understand since they explained everything to me at the inspection. The books I received also helped me understand exactly how a house operates and the maintenance involved. If there is a better inspection company out there I would certainly like to see them? This company should be commended for the great work that they do."-
